As you know, this week's reading topic is crime and punishment. This week I want you to do a group project. What I want you to do is:
•In a group of four, you are being asked to present an understanding of crime and punishment within a chosen time period or cultural grouping and present a perspective on how the punishment reflected the values of society at the time.
•The Time periods / Cultural groupings are:
1. Babylonian and Egyptian times
2. Ancient Greek and Roman times
3. Early Middle Ages - 1200-1450
4. Elizabethan Era - 1450-1750
5. Industrial times – 1750-1900
6. Ancient India and China
7. Aboriginal Tribal Law
•Your group task involves choosing how to present your findings to the class and the presentation of your findings with the powerpoint presentation to the whole class.
